Ashlands A land within the Lowlands that were unclaimed by all. Many refer to these lands as the old Highlands, but now they have been rechristened as the Ashlands. The lands are covered in miles of ash from the recent fires that seem to plague the area. Just pass Malkia Pass, the Ashlands are where many herds find refuge and migrate, leaving a steady and abundant food source for whomever lives there. Ukingo Ukingo is the most notable cave that the Lowland pride uses. It is on the edge of their territory that borders the Outlands, giving it a more desert like terrain. Kiburi Range The range contains many trees and rock structures to provide ample shelter along with many things for lions of any age to climb. Animals here are more exotic than seen in the pridelands, such as gorillas and okapi, and provide more than enough food for a while. Maji River The Maji River seperates the Oasis and the Kiburi Range in nurmerous places, almost making the range like an island in some ways. Many come here for a place to ponder thoughts or to take a long sip of water. Oasis Founded by earlier generations, the Oasis is a place of peace and prosperity. Many prides and herds have lived here to heal wounds or to have a safe spot to stay until they find a new home. Shelter, water, and food are no problems; although the elusive meerkat is very hard to catch for dinner. Healing Springs The water here is said to have mystical powers that if used correctly could put a stopper in death. Although, that's just a legend. Most adults find themselves relaxing by the pool of water while the cubs and adolescents use the vines above to swing into it. Highland Ridge The only part of the Highlands that the Lowlanders decided not to claim, but only use as neutral territory. It is higher in elevation which gives the pride a disadvantage, but the Lowlanders are so quiet, it actually gives them an advantage. Many rogues pass through here, unaware of the prospering pride below. Since the civil war, many former Highlanders venture here to pay respects to their old homeland.	7	40	The Space Betwee... Mwezi Meadow Also known as the Valley of the Moon, it is a large area of the jungle so named because of its vast crescent shaped meadow. It is surrounded on three sides by rolling hills covered in lush tropical vegetation, and the sound of birds creates a constant symphony. The focal point of the area is a cascading waterfall called Emerald Falls because of the moss that grows beneath the cool liquid, which feeds into the Maji River below.	2	9	We Can't Cry Awa... Malkia Pass Above Mwezi Meadow lies a wide but verdant pass between the taller mountains beyond. During the war, the enemy pride was unable to traverse the range. The strategic location of the pass made it possible for the Lowlanders to defend their territory. It is the location of the last battle of the war, where victory was obtained by the jungle pride at long last.
