Familiar Territory

If Kiume had no self control, he would claim Lani as his forever in that moment. But as king, he had learned not to jump on every chance a female gave -or didn't give- him. But his heart fluttered and tears almost broke through his eyes. Lani had felt the same way -obviously- and finally admitted it. And now, the male could finally say what he had wanted to confess since his adolescent years. "I love you too," It was almost as if he would wake up from a dream any moment, that this could all end and he'd be without his Lani yet again.

His Lani, she was finally his. Another lick was given to the female's cheek and Kiume finally stood. The sun was quickly setting and Kuona was bound to be by the dens by now. And a pregnant rogue lioness was not one of the things his pride wanted to see when they were going to bed. Kiume would have some explaining to do when he got back, arriving with not one but two lionesses, one bearing cubs at the time.

"We should get going," the king said in a low voice, "Kuona should be nearing the dens right now and it would be best to avoid a catastrophe," Kiume looked back at the cerulean eyed lioness, proud to be able to have her in his arms once again. A cubbish grin appeared on his face and he lowered his body to the ground. A large hearty laugh emerged from his mouth and his eyes lite up. "Race ya!" he screamed, bounding off into the sunset, slowly at first so Lani would be able to catch up.

Everything was perfect, or so it seemed. But Kiume didn't press it, he had his girl, and he was finally at peace.
