Appearance:
Jua is smaller than other male lions, his body slimmer and lankier with delicate looking paws and features. His main pelt is a sandy gold color for the most part until you reach his legs, about midway down from his 'elbow' you'll find faded gray socks cover his feet until you hit his toes. His underbelly, toes and the bottom of his eyeshades are paler than his top coat, they're a darker beige in color than most, sharing the color with his narrow muzzle.

His upper eye shades and inner ears share a color as well, a faded and pale dark brown, his upper 'eyebrows' being the same color but darker in appearance. Along his back runs a stripe all the way to the base of his tail, it's a more dark and intense gold, contrasting with the light mane that lays in messy spikes atop his head. His mane and elbow tufts, as well as tail tuft are a light, pale cornsilk gold in color. The mane is messy and thinner than most lions manes, laying close to his head rather than flowing out in a full body.

The eyes that peek out through his mess of a mane are bright startling blue, and ever gentle. The area around them is an almost orange in color, making his eyes rather intense in all regards. The last feature that dots his features is the pale dusting of greyish white along his pale brown nose.

Personality:
Jua is a quiet lion, he prefers to keep his words soft rather than loud and rarely does he raise his voice even when angry. His outward demeanor is often calm and serene, he enjoys simply enjoying nature and life for what it is, a gift. He's usually lost in thought or a daydream of some kind, looking more regal than he actually is most days. He'll be the first to be kind to someone else, be it Rogue, foreign pridemember or his own pridemember he's polite until he is threatened. He prefers not to fight and will in most situations do his best to talk someone down rather than resorting to violence.

When it comes to violence however he can and will defend himself and those he cares about, or even those that he deems innocent. He is always merciful, not liking to kill if it's not needed, and never enjoying taking the life of another lion. If death does occur he goes through a small ritual of bowing his his head over their corpse and mumbling a prayer to himself either softly aloud or in his head for their safe passage and his own forgiveness. He very much believes in fate and the Great Spirits, taught by his overly spiritual mother as well as his old pride's shaman.

He enjoys listening to others and offering advice where he can but will in turn keep his own problems, worries, and feelings to himself. He doesn't enjoy causing problems and it has made him more popularly known as an introvert. He can be odd sometimes as well, enjoying things like picking flowers and weaving them together when he can manage to as gifts for the young ones.

History:
Jua was born the youngest son to Ravi and Aruba, the couple came from a land far beyond the prides that their sons would come to find homes in. The pair were deeply in love and enjoyed having children, they each taught what they were best at to their son and daughter. Their father defense, and their mother spirituality and hunting to make them well rounded young lions. Both were taught manners but they would of course always develop their own morals and it quickly became apparently that Samara was the confident extrovert, while Jua was the gentle introvert. They complimented each other nicely and the siblings were close to one another as they grew.

When they were in their teens the two of them decided that it was time they left home to seek out their own lives away from their pride. Their parents supported the decision and the pair set out to find new lands and new opportunities. The two found life out in the open enjoyable and spent a year maturing out on the savannah on their own, when they matured however the natural need to be around other lions hit them and while Samara found a calling in the Coldlands, Jua found a calling in the Desertlands. It seemed oddly opposite but the siblings said their goodbyes and headed for their opposite lands with promise to meet up again and see one another.

Jua found himself accepted into the lands with only small hiccups and found he enjoyed them very much. He like the other Desertlanders have been worried about the disappearance of the Queen, and it seems more often than not that the adults are disappearing as the days go by to leave Jua in care of the growing number of orphaned cubs. He does his best to keep them calm and their spirits high while they grow, and waits patiently for their Queen to return.
