Kovu

Kovu is a rather muscular and healthy looking cub. He has a dark coat with an army tanish grey colored underfur. Kovu has bright green eyes that shine from his dark fur. On top of his head rests a black mane about to grow. He's not lean or lanky, but more like a good size. He may be a bit small for his size, but he might grow into the right size as he ages. His paws are already big, showing the size he'll probably be.

Serious: Kovu may be a bit sarcastic at times, but he's usually always serious. He's not one to really joke around with someone when he first meets them, but once he warms up to you he'll be a little funnier... Probably not, but he tries.

Protective: He's a bit protective over those he learns to trust and love. In the beginning of his life he used to be protective of whoever was in charge, but he later learned to be protective over those he came close to and loved. Not that he didn't love the people in charge, he did, but he learned of a new kind of love as he grew up.

Brave: Everyone has their fears and Kovu is no exception, however, he'll try his best to be as brave as he can. He'll be there to venture around, go up and speak to someone, and or protect someone. He considers being brave as going to new lands and not being afraid to hold your ground. Although, he's having a bit of trouble holding his ground and speaking his mind. He'll soon learn how to do that as he ages.

Rebellious: This is more of a rebellion in his mind. He senses that something is wrong in the way he's living and what he's doing now. In his mind, though, he's always declining orders and mumbling stuff under his breath. Although he'll never admit it, Kovu doesn't really want to do a lot of the tasks given to him. It's not that he's lazy or that he simple doesn't want to do it- something inside of him is telling him that it's wrong and despite how he was raised he never really knew anything else, but as I said before; he'll learn.

Energetic/Lazy: Yes these two are opposites, but it doesn't usually seem like Kovu has much energy. He's always kind of walking around and sitting or standing somewhere. He's not one to really play around with fellow cubs or older lions. Even if he's not lazy, he's not energetic. However, Kovu loves a nice day where he can just lay by a rock and be all alone. If it's one thing Kovu loves, it's to be alone.

Kind: Once you get past his little angry look, you'll see that he's very kind. He's not too easy to get along with, but once you figure him out he's a good lion to get along with. He'll try not to let anyone down, but stuff happens. Sure it'll take a while for him to show his kind side, but once he does he won't show you that other quiet side.

Innocent: I'm not really sure how to sum this up. He's just innocent and tries not to do anything that'll hurt someone. He's not too fond on being 'the heir to Scar', but he does what he has to do.

Quiet: I've said this before, so this part is going to be short as well. Kovu is quiet and would much rather be by himself most of the time. He'll learn to love to be around others, but as of now he likes to be alone. Also, when you first go to talk to him don't think that he doesn't like you. He's just quiet. That's about it.

Kovu, his original name being Kanu, was born to Queen Abuto and King Ni of the Shadowlands. He was born alongside his younger brother Kirabo and Vitani, also known as Zuri. Kovu has two step brothers by the names of Makosa and Kiasi. A few weeks after Kovu, Vitani, and Kirabo were born two of Scar's spies came to take Kovu and Vitani away from Abuto and Ni. Scar was looking for healthy cubs and that's what he got. Kovu and Vitani grew up in the Pridelands with Zira and Scar as their leaders.

After years of growing up to follow in Scar's footsteps, Zira was put to her death, along with Scar, and the rightful king once took power again. Kovu spent a good time in the Pridelands with Simba, Nala, and their daughter Kiara. He liked this pride much better than his old, but a sadness still hung over him about his 'parents' death. Kovu was soon introduced to the king of the Shadowlands, Ni, and that was when he found out that Ni was his real father. Kovu always considered Scar a father position, but finding out that he had a real father was a bit overwhelming, in a good way, to Kovu. The rest is still being written.
