Kauli

Being a cub, Kauli is a bit big for his age. He doesn't quite have a lot of muscle, but it'll get there as he ages. Kauli looks a bit older than he really is due to his mane starting to come in. He's got a big bush of it on top of his head that's always a little messy, and some starting to grow on his chest and a little bit on his underbelly. Kauli is a darker tan color with a dark greyish brown mane. His underfur is a light cream color that shows somewhat brightly from his darker coat. Also, along his ears are a light cream ring.One thing you might notice first about Kauli is his piercing blue eyes, which do shine brightly from his dark coat. Kauli has a normal sized tail that curls up right before it hits the ground.

Loyal: It's pretty obvious that Kauli is loyal. If he calls you a friend, then you're a friend forever. Even if you get into a huge fight with him or do something to him, he'll never hate you. If you need him in any way, shape, or form he'll always be there to catch you when you fall. You know you can always count on him to be there at your side. It may take some time for Kauli to warm up and trust someone, but once he knows you're going to stick around forever he knows he'll stick around for you too.

Strong: Strong can go a bit of ways. It can be physically, mentally, and or any other way you see it. I believe by strong I meant mentally and physically strong. He's not very physically strong yet, but he's working on it. As for mentally strong, he's a quick thinker and a bit quick on his feet. However, if he was next to someone he'd probably be the slower one of the group. Being a quick thinker can come in handy at times, but this isn't a trait he shows very much. He'd much rather be the guardian than the planner.

Brave: A small male cub like him better be brave, right? Or that's the way he sees it. To be honest, he's the type to go 'yeah, yeah, I got 'em!' and then back away behind someone else. He's not very brave when it comes to fighting, but he can put on a pretty good mask. He's brave when it come to venturing out. He's very adventurous and will always be willing to explore new things.

Lazy: Yes, Kauli is lazy. It may not seem like it but if he has the opportunity to lay down and sleep, he'll take it. If it's a nice day and no one wants to do anything he'll be more than happy to lay there with them all. Even though he's brave and adventurous sometimes if he goes on long journeys he might get a little winy about being tired and wanting to sit and rest. Yes, though, he enjoys a good lazy day.

Energetic: On the other side, he's very energetic. He loves to play around and running is one of his favorite things. He's always bouncing around and wanting to play with someone. Oh, yes, this trait runs along playful and talkative too. He'll pretty much play with anything that moves, even if it's an older feline that is a bit on the meaner side Kauli will try to play with them. Basically he's always energetic and playful- he just tries to liven things up a bit.

Protective: I've stated this trait before because it's probably his biggest trait. He's protective over those he holds close. This is a huge trait for him because it shows how much he loves those around him. He'll stand up to pretty much anything if it means protecting his friends. So, yeah, just try not to do anything that makes him bare his teeth at you. As I said before, he's a bit on the small side so I think that felines will laugh at him, but he protects what he protects... Plus, never doubt a small thing. Also, he's only going to get bigger.

Stubborn: This is one trait that's a bit surprising, I think. He's stubborn and won't usually change his mind on things. If he does change his mind then it probably wasn't important or that someone tried really hard to change his mind. This trait can get him into a lot of trouble, but he likes to keep his mouth shut about it.

Kind: It's no doubt that Kauli is a kind cub. He doesn't really like conflict, but he'll get involved if he has to. He tries to be nice to everyone and he tries to get along with everyone, usually it works, but there are those felines that just don't like other felines. Kauli can't quite understand why, but he goes for it. Basically he loves to have everyone he meets be his friend and he'll do anything in his power to get them to like him- if he can.

Kauli was born to a pride member, Mira, and a rogue, Regal. Kauli never met his father and his mother would never speak of him. Kauli had been taught to look up to the pride leader who gave them protection. On a hunting trip, Mira got severely injured in her shoulder and after much time of trying to get better she was forced to leave the pride. With Mira being sent away, Kauli chased after her about a day later. To his surprise he could never find her. He would wander and wander and every day he would get more hopeless in finding her. Little did he know that Mira had been attacked by hyenas and was never to be seen again.

Kauli decided to give up after many days of looking for his mother, however when he tried to go back to his pride he couldn't find his way back. He ended up in an unfamiliar environment and to this day he still wanders about. Kauli has made a small living by eating things that he can catch such as lizards, bugs, birds(if he could catch them) and other small things. As of now, Kauli is wandering around and looking for a pride... Will he ever find justice in all this madness?

Chance had made plans with Zooey to hang out and as of now, he wanted to be outside. He didn't know about her, but he felt like staying outside today no matter how cold it was outside. They had been hanging out a lot and Chance thought he might like Zooey... Not that it wasn't obvious before. Even if it was pretty obvious, he would probably never tell her. For some reason, Chance could never tell a girl that he liked them... He got nervous and he was just embarrassing. Yet after tha part all seemed good. So there he was, driving down the road in that truck of his, on his way to Zooey's house. Chance kept his eyes on the icy road, hoping that he wouldn't get stuck again. He had gotten stuck quite a few times and by now he was starting to see where the deeper spots of snow were. All would have been good if his little trusty truck was a bit bigger, but this is what he had and what he had he would have to deal with.

Chance finally made it to Zooey's house and with a soft smile he turned off the truck, hopping out and walking up to her front door. This had seemed to be a usual routine and he was sure he memorized the outside of her house. With a knock on the door he took a step back, rubbing his gloved hands together to keep warm. There had been a storm that dropped the temperature a bit and the clouds that were once heavy over the sky disappeared, but they said the clouds would be back later tonight or early tomorrow morning. Chance waited patiently at the door, hearing the ticks of her dogs as they ran to the front door to see who was there. Chance gave a small smile as he heard the dogs. He wanted a dog again... It was Fort Rain, everyone had to have a dog and as of now, Chance was the only one without a dog.

Things have been a little different since Nemo passed about a month ago. Chance knew that was a potential threat when he had adopted the pup, but he never thought it would happen. Nemo was doing just fine with Chance and his mother and none of them saw it coming. But Chance tried not to think about that and with all the things he's been through in his life and in the military he learned to put a mask on. His mother was upset, that was obvious, but Chance had to be strong for her. He always had to be strong for her because she had always tried to be strong for him... Now he was just running away with his thoughts and he nearly forgot where he was. He shook his head, ran a hand through his hair and looked back to the door, still waiting.
