Appearance:
Quanna has a light, creamy pelt blending in with her lands well. Her eyes are a striking hazel, highlighted by the light fur around them. She is lean but strong, slightly bigger than the others of her pride. Those of her pride, including herself, are a bit slimmer than other lions due to their diet, but it doesn’t make them any less strong or intimidating. Her paws are large and toes lighter than the rest of her body, inherited from her father. The edges of her ears are the only thing dark about her. She has a few light markings on the front of her chest.

Personality:
Quanna has always been down to earth, even as a cub. As her siblings and friends would get into trouble, Quanna would be the one to point out the sensible options. It didn’t make her all that popular among her peers as a cub, but as they grew up they respected her level-headedness and would come to her with problems, which Quanna took in stride. She enjoys helping people, but is unafraid to be blunt when need be. She strives to be honest and firm, but caring all the same. The lioness has a good head on her shoulders, but it doesn’t keep her from having some fun either, when her duties allow it.

Quanna can be quite playful, especially with the younger lions, and is compassionate to all of her pride, and outsiders if she feels they deserve her compassion. She takes her position as queen very seriously, and is very firm in her rulings and will not stand for complaints or unnecessary fights. Due to their unrelenting land, Quanna is constantly challenging her pride to be stronger, more resilient. But she is careful to keep a clear line of challenge and pushing too far. She is fiercely protective of her family, especially the cubs, and will to everything in her power to keep them safe.

Quanna was born in the Desertlands, her life challenging from the start. But with careful training and upbringing from her mother, father and the rest of the pride, Quanna grew up strong and resilient, able to stand the barren lands with ease and outsider wouldn’t have. She was the first born from her mother, who was the king’s favoured lioness, gaining her a high spot in the pride through birth. Nothing was guaranteed though, an idea that had been instilled in her as a cub. But Quanna was determined to make the best of what she had.

Quanna was careful to listen to her parents as a cub, unlike most of her peers, and tended to spend more time with the older lions than cubs like herself. Level-headed since she was little, the tawny lion tended to be considered a party-pooper by other cubs, always pointing out flaws of their plans and the dangers of their proposed adventures. Sometimes they listened to her, sometimes they didn’t. It did bother her at times, knowing the other cubs would rather play with themselves than worry over being told off by her, but her mother complimented her on how she was looking out for them. As she grew up, her relations with others became better as they grew to respect her opinions and she learned to loosen up some.

Folami raised her up in preparation to become queen, which Quanna took in stride. She solemnly took her place as queen at four years of age, when both her father passed on and her mother shortly followed from grief. She has continued to rule successfully since then, with compassionate but no-nonsensical leadership. She welcomes others into her pride so long as they are sincere and bring no threat to her family. When rogues come nearby, they are given opportunity to be judged but will be chased off fiercely at the moment a threat is given.

Quanna still lives in the Desertlands with her pride, taking her position as queen very seriously. She hopes to have cubs of her own soon, having had trouble conceiving recently, but is content with caring for all the cubs of her pride as her own.
