Appearance:
Kifu has bulked up since his mother increased his rations and since they struck out on their own. He's still not the biggest lion, he's more on the petite side but he's become lanky rather than scrawny. His coat is a dark russet, dark red brown almost, while his underfur is a creamy beige. His nose is black in color and sports a darker red patch that extends up his nose to the bridge where it rounds off.

The males eyes are ringed in a dark brown that also makes up his mane as well as the fringes on the back of his legs and his tail tuft. His ears are the odd color out, their inside being a brownish gold in color and lighter than the other browns on his body by far. His paw pads are black in color and his toes are the same beige as his underfur rather than colorless.The eyes in his head are those of his father though they're a much softer green instead of a the glowing devilish color his father possessed, more sage than lime.

His mane has grown in, thin but long all over, it may be just a tad bit thicker than Scar's but it's easy to tell who he is related too with the mane and his small beard as well.

Personality:
Kifu shares very little traits with his father but there are some similarities like their sharp intelligence. Though it's not something that he flaunts Kifu has always been rather smart and savvy to the proper way to run a pride, his innocence was in his way at first but as he has matured he's realized some of his assumptions as a cub were correct. He knows that you'll get more flies with honey than vinegar and so he is polite and kind to those that he meets until forced to be otherwise.

He has inherited a nasty temper from both parents however and as much as he hates it can find himself willing to inflict harm if someone makes him angry enough. He despises his fathers half of his blood and unlike Ari did, takes no pride in it anymore. His mother's explanation of what a horrible King his father was, and her scarring has convinced him that his 'royal' blood is lower than dirt. He does however take pride in carrying Heshima's blood and would defend her and all of his family's, besides Scar's, honor if it ever came up.

He can be a worry wort over his family because of the loss of most of his siblings and half siblings. He likes to stick closer to his mother and is quite affectionate towards her still, showing it shamelessly when most teens would probably find it embarrassing. He cares a great deal for the lioness who raised him and always believed in him no matter what, he'd be devastated if something ever happened to her and his wraith would be terrible to behold against those that tried to or did harm her.

Kifu is a mostly quiet observer at first, cautious because of his heritage and his family's status as exiles but when he warms up to someone he can be quite playful and a joker. He's still a happy lion at heart, simply a tad more cautious now, he finds himself usually giving others the benefit of the doubt unless they're males near his mother.

History:
Kifu's life was rocky from the start, part of a failed litter in his father's eyes he was never going to be looked on favorably. He was the runt among a litter of females, all the worse for the Dark King at the time and as he grew his stunted size didn't seem to be changing. Despite being a lot like Scar in appearance the two were nothing alike in personality, Kifu had taken after his mother for the most part with only a few traits to make him less submissive when it came to anyone but Scar.

Fighting with his siblings and for attention was tiring for the youth but he didn't let it get to him and he was a happy and adventurous cub. His mother often found him wandering away from Pride Rock when he wasn't supposed to but she was gentle with him. Though Kifu didn't like the bullying he received from some of his sisters, Tasa namely, that didn't mean that he didn't love them. Even if there was a time where he would have liked to beat up Tasa for her nickname for him, Fufu. He really found that the more he thought about it the more he didn't like the idea of hurting his family, and even Scar reinforced this thinking with him.

He found himself constantly clamoring for the King's attention and approval, he wanted to be King and make his father happy but it wasn't to be. Scar father another heir, Nuka, though he was just as scrawny if not more so than Kifu. This pleased the cub to no end but when Nuka turned out to be more like Scar than Kifu and the cub had a falling out with his father he started to doubt his chances to be the heir that Scar would choose. Heshima of course still backed him and assured him he would be a great King but it was not to be, they would be exiled long before the question of who the heir was came up.

Kifu was exiled, for reasons unknown to him at the time, living with Heshima in a confusing blur. Being whisked away without a word tends to do that to one and he found himself wondering what happened to both Tasa and Ari, not knowing that one joined the spirits and the other wandered the plains like he and his mother. It all came to light during his journey with Heshima and he was both devastated and angry, angry at his father for allowing all of this to happen and for never letting them be a proper family. With the discovery of the Ashlands and his mothers ascension to queen platonically with its King, Kifu has found himself more than ever wishing to prove himself as future King.
