TLK: Rising Sun

Have you ever wondered what would have happened if Zira hadn't been turned on by her followers? Or what would have happened if the Hyena's had returned from their exile to aid the dark hearted tawny lioness? Well wonder no more!

Zira was successful in her battle for the Pridelands even after Kovu's betrayal by employing the help of the hyena's whose numbers had grown drastically in their time exiled by the son of Mufasa. Their matriarch had been planning her revenge but more cunning than just her own was needed and Zira provided that in the form of the lionesses of her pride. The battle was bloody and Zira was able to send both Simba and Nala to their place among the stars, unfortunately she wasn't successful of wiping out Kiara and Kovu who had been urged to escape by the King and Queen.

Nuka now sits on the throne, having barely escaped his brush with death after Kovu's screw up that gained him the scar on his eye. Nuka's first act as King was to exile his brother and Kiara along with all their supporters to the Outlands. They would only be able to return to the Pridelands on pain of death but otherwise would be left to suffer int he Outlands like Nuka and his mother had been made to. The hyena's have been told to only hunt in the Savannah and other kingdoms to keep Nuka's reign from being a repeat of Scar's own. The land has yet to show signs of wilt but there is trouble brewing regardless from both the land and those left alive from the battle for Pride Rock.

Kovu and Kiara will have to reach to other prides to help them recover their home, but can the prides truly work together? With many obstacles in their way it's unsure if the newly crowned and estranged King and Queen of the Outlands can ever truly reclaim their home but they won't give up until they join the stars but it leaves everyone wondering...

What will come with the rising sun?
