Appearance: Emeka is and elderly male with a dark brown coat with a short lighter toned ruddy hued mane. He has many ragged scars racing down is right shoulder and along his belly. His tale is a lamentable mess of a stub all due to the fights of his youth.

Personality: Emeka had been exceedingly reckless and playful as a cub enjoying his sway over the games the younger cubs took part in. As he matured however his serious side grew, and his energy transferred from play to fighting, and occasional hunts (as a low ranking male he had to help earn his keep). Now he is a meek old man preferring to stay quiet and alone as he strives to stay out of Scar’s line of sight.

History: Emeka had been an older cousin and favored playmate of the late king Mufasa. Being of a low ranking birth however, Emeka had no hopes of becoming king after the death of Mufasa’s father, rather he took up arms to fight with his favored cousin against the other males who hoped to secure rule for themselves. This earned him his many scars and the loss of his tale. For his loyalty Mufasa rewarded him with the right to stay in the Pridelands in a small yet comfortable alcove. He even allowed him a female named Desta who had never had the best of health and was actually quite infatuated with him despite his social standing.

Emeka’s young bride Desta gave to him five small litters over her lifetime, sadly of which only two cubs survived due to her inability to carry them to full term. The first was a male named Faraji who left the lands of his own choice at the age of four, having a very devil-may-care attitude. The second was from Desta’s final litter before her death, a small female with a cool brown coat and sharp amber eyes which matched her mother’s, they named her Zola.

When his daughter was still a small cub Desta passed away leaving him to mourn, and raise her on his own. By this time however, Emeka was quite old at twelve, arthritis already having set into his joints he found it difficult and almost impossible to keep up with her, and thus he taught her quiet, thinking games.

At his age and possessing the meek and mild manner that came with such an age he hung back in the shadows during Scar’s take over and since, urging Zola to do the same. Emeka rarely leaves his home nearly crippled with age and relies on his daughter to bring him food. If however, Scar tries to touch his daughter Emeka swears to himself that he will be able to muster the strength to kill him.
