Appearance: Of his entire litter, young Jabari's pelt is the darkest in hue. His fur is a deep chocolate shade, darker than both of his parents, with an underbelly that is pale peach, which creates a nice contrast with his dark pelt. The circles around his eyes are dark brown, while his paws are a softer shade, much like his father's coat. His nose is pink, and his eyes, inherited from his mother Shani, are a lovely lavender shade. Rather than the usual tuft of mane that sprouts for young males, Jabari has what can best be described as a 'mohawk' - the longer hair that grows on his forehead is tipped in a shade so dark it is nearly pitch black.

Personality: Jabari puts on a brave face to prove to his father that he isn't scared for fear of what Shinikizo would do if he appeared weak. Even when he's terrified on the inside, Jabari acts tough, and though he despises training, he will tolerate it so that his father won't hate him, or leave him. After seeing his mother threatened by his father, and then being taken away from the others, Jabari is fearful of abandonment, and has drawn especially close to his brother Ziko. He isn't interested in pride politics, and is mostly apathetic about who is in charge of the pride. He respects King Ismahel because of his title, but thinks that other than his white coat, he's not terribly different than any other lion. In a way, Jabari appreciates the idea of equality, with no king at all, but he is too young to object or care beyond a few random thoughts on the subject. He looks up to the king's son Sakitu though, and since the boys are all the same age, you can expect some mischief from the trio.

Over all, Jabari is a good kid, though he does have a tendency to be arrogant at times. He knows that he is a strong cub, and that he will probably grow to be a large lion, and so he is proud of his stamina and his abilities. Training seems to come naturally to the cub as time progresses. He is especially good at climbing trees, where his dar fur helps him to blend in. If ever Jabari needs a moment to himself, he can be found in a random tree top, just thinking about life. As he gets older, the memories of the Lowlands and the rest of his family there will fade, and despite the ordeal that brought him to the place, he will be a loyal Coldlander as he ages.

History: Jabari is one cub in an unexpectedly large litter of five, born to young Shani and her beau from afar, Shinikizo. The two had barely known each other when they decided they were hopelessly in love, and a litter was soon conceived. The cubs were born in their father's kingdom, the Coldlands, which are high in the mountains and not the most welcoming environment for new lives. Shani decided it would be best to take them all back to her pride in the Lowlands, which she thought would be safer for her beloved children.

After some time had passed and the cubs grew more independent, Shinikizo arrived in the jungle to claim two of his sons: the ones he had picked ahead of time, Jabari and Ziko. Jabari's snowy white brother who would fit in with the snowy terrain of the Coldlands. But Shani did not want to lose her babies, and she resisted, much to Kizo's surprise. The cubs were all there to witness the scene, and Ziko even rushed in to try to protect their mother when Kizo began to threaten her. The Lowlander queens arrived swiftly to back up the young mother, while the cubs looked on in horror. The girls were in tears, and Jabari tried to comfort them, but he too was scared of the drama unfolding around him. In the end, Shinikizo collected his two preferred sons and brought them back to the mountains to train them.
