- Heshima did not willingly mate Kuzimu for these cubs, she was attacked.
- Kuzimu had a son named Kifo, making the cubs not only have half siblings of Heshima's first litter, but Kifo as well.
- Makosa cannot look like Kovu upon adult years.
- The boys will not know of their biological mother or father, only know of Ni and Abuto who will be raising them.
