Public-ish chat

Is there a way we could have a more public message box for the site? That way we can leave reactions and such and see what people might say OOC for just a general reason rather than messaging people privately, and new people might like it more. Also kinda for reactions to some threads we're all reading, without cluttering the thread itself or making separate OOC threads in the spam forum.

The idea for a different/new chat box would be because the current one we have only seems to show whatever is said at that moment when you log in, though it's good for a quick moving chat. So I'm suggesting more of a separate message box, like in one of the side bars or something, like perhaps a cbox?

I feel like I'm blathering. Did I make any sense? I just enjoy opportunities to leave OOC messages like -- "That Twist thread is breaking my heart, but it's beautiful!" for the world to see rather than just one person in a pm.

Maybe we could have a thread for that, because I don't think you can edit the Chatbox like that on forumotion, thats more of a proboards thing. ^_^
