Appearance:
Sarabi looks rather large for a lioness, and muscular, as though more fit for hunting. Her fur is a light gold color, with an almost peach color around her eyes, on her chest and under her belly, and on the tips of her toes. Her eyes are almond brown, and she has a brown tuft on her tail. Her expression was once gentle and kind, but lately it has been stressed and forelorn.

Personality:

At one time, Sarabi was a gentle lioness, and some say she was very kind. She was a loving mother to her son, and a loving mate. Once she was a queen, and understood and respected the responsibilites it would entail. Sarabi is a brave lioness, despite the emotional turmoil that has been thrown into her life. She remains kind and concerned for the rest of her pride members, she is still mourning the death of her mate and her only son.

Despite all that has happened to her, she still carries herself with dignity as she always did while as a queen. This is only a front, since inside she is emotionally distraught. She simply knows that should she show it, it could upset the other lionesses of the pride as well. Perhaps once things turn for the better, she may become happy once more and return more to her kind and gentle ways, whether or not she is the queen anymore.

Family:
Her only son is Simba, and she will soon be the mother-in-law to Nala, and the paternal grandmother of Kiara.

History:

Sarabi's cub life is unknown, but she grew up with Mufasa with Sarafina. The two would often play and have many adventures. They would also get into a lot of trouble. Sarabi's mother probably oftent old her, "Someday you will have cubs who will do the same to you two!" but of course, they did not believe them at that age. They kept on with their antics. Soon, they reached their adolescent years, and Mufasa was chosen as heir to Pride Rock. He also had began to court with Sarabi.

The two were in love, and grew up. Mufasa soon became the king, and chose Sarabi as his queen. After some time, Sarabi bear a cub named Simba, and her best friend had also had a cub named Nala. Sarabi could not be more thrilled. She watched as the two cubs were growing, and knew they were destined to pair up once they got older. Zazu had described them as "little seeds of romance blossoming in the Savannah". Of course, they would deny anything like that.

Life had been going well, until one fateful day when Simba had gone somewhere with Scar, and Mufasa was out on his rounds. They were gone all day, but as the storm clouds drew in, Scar had returned looking sorrowed. Sarabi immediately knew something was wrong when she saw the look on his face. He called the pride together, and announced that Simba and Mufasa were dead. Sarabi was devistated, but kept a strong face for the sake of the other pride. Deep in her heart, she knew something was wrong, but has no way of knowing what. For now, she tries to accept that she will never see her son or her beloved again.
