Appearance: Kiume is a light golden color that somewhat resembles sand, making his official color 'sandy-gold'. His light brown full mane comes down to slightly below his neck on his back and seems to hang over shoulders as well. Kiume used to be a fit and well-built male when he lived in the Pridelands, but after his exile he has lost a lot of weight and has taken more of a slender apperance. The most prominant thing about Kiume is his eyes which shine a shade of orange. He has said to have inherited them from his father who died shortly before his birth. A scar is adorned above his left eye, one gained in a hyena attack in his teen years.

Personality: Kiume is very headstrong and stubborn, he will say what is on his mind except in the prescence of royalty. As a cub, he used to be very adventurous and skipped cruical lessons for the young cubs; this earning him also a cunning personality. As of late, Kiume has developed a strong hatred for Scar and the Hyenas and Lionesses who stay loyal to him and will use his bravery and quick-thinking to protect his pride.

The king's personality also seems to get him into trouble, most recently banishment from the Pridelands. Kiume is very loyal and trusting, but will not answer to those who become tyranic or pushy. His personality also lets him underestimate the hyenas with his strength, usually becoming opportunistic whenever one comes too close to the Outlands and hunting them.

History: Kiume was born in the Pridelands under the reign of Mufasa. Since his father was a rouge (who was thought to have died by the paws of the hyenas) and his mother and older lioness just exiting her cub bareing stage, his was more or less growing up on his own. Since his mother could not run as far as he did, and couldn't play for long periods of time, Kiume was seemingly cave-ridden for most of the day.

As a cub, Kiume didn't attend many important lessons that Mufasa or Zazu would give out to the young cubs, normally sneaking away and chasing smaller animals to play. But even though he skipped those lessons, he learned better than anyone else the ins and outs of the pride.
Kiume also saw Mufasa as the father he never had, usually persuading the older lion to let him come on walks with him. He was devastated when he heard of Mufasa and Simba's death and sat in the corner of the cave, mourning with Sarabi for weeks on end.

As Kiume grew and became an adolescent, his hatred of Scar grew. Not only were the hyenas overhunting the lands, but the king held no remorse with punishment. Finally in front of Scar himself, Kiume slaughtered a hyena, and claimed that Mufasa was the true king, and that Scar was just a coward. This ended up with Kiume's banishment to the Outlands.

In the Outlands, Kiume has taken up the job as the pride's King, often killing hyenas on the spot if they cross into the Outlands, and even just killing them for revenge if they are alone and too close to the border. The lion usually shares his catch, especially with the cubs in the pride, and is always the first to finish the meal so he can get back to watching the borders. Kiume has stated that he will protect the Outlanders from Scar and the hyenas no matter what he has to do. He would lay his life on the line to protect the cubs, and would gladly kill Scar if given the chance. Often, Kiume wonders about his mother who tried to protest to his banishment. Given the conditions, Kiume has placed her as 'dead' in his mind and uses the anger that builds, to protect his fellow lions.
